Performance Timer

Performance Timer is a free large display countdown timer app for iPhone/iPad. I wrote it to keep track of the time remaining when doing a performance that has a specific time limit. I was occasionally doing improv shows at the time and there didn’t seem to be another app that worked well for that situation. You set your target time and start the timer and put the device somewhere where you can see it. When the time runs out, the numbers turn red and it starts counting up so you can see how far you’ve gone over the target time. In addition to improv, people use it for presentations and standup comedy. As of this moment the app has been downloaded over 149,000 times.

I haven’t updated the app since I wrote it, but now that I’m retired I intend to do a complete rewrite and add some features.
